உலர்ந்த திராட்சை பழத்தின் மகிமை

உலர்ந்த திராட்சை பழத்தின் மகிமை என்னவென்று பலருக்கு இன்னமும் தெரியவில்லை என்று சொல்லலாம். உலர்ந்த திராட்சை என்றால் சர்க்கரை பொங்கலுக்கும், பாயாசத்திற்கும் மட்டும் தான் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்று பலர் நினைத்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். இதன் பயனை அறிந்தால் வெறும் வாயிலேயே இதை மென்று சாப்பிடுவார்கள்...

♥ Blood in the urine ♥ : This is a symptom of kidney disease which is a definite cause for concern. There may be other reasons, but it is advisable to visit your doctor in case you notice it.

♥ Swelling ♥ : Kidneys remove wastes and extra fluid from the body. When they are unable to do so, this extra fluid will build up causing swelling in your hands, feet, ankles and/or your face.

♥ Extreme fatigue and generalised weakness ♥ : Your kidneys produce a hormone called erythropoietin which helps make red blood cells that carry oxygen. In kidney disease lower levels of erythropoietin causes decreased red blood cells in your body resulting in anaemia. There is decreased oxygen delivery to cells causing generalised weakness and extreme fatigue.

♥ Dizziness & Inability to concentrate ♥ : Anaemia associated with kidney disease also depletes your brain of oxygen which may cause dizziness, trouble with concentration, etc.

♥ Feeling cold all the time ♥ : If you have kidney disease you may feel cold even when in a warm surrounding due to anaemia. Pyelonephritis (kidney infection) may cause fever with chills.

♥ Skin rashes and itching ♥ : Kidney failure causes waste build-up in your blood. This can causes severe itching and skin rashes.

♥ Ammonia breath and metallic taste ♥ : Kidney failure increases level of urea in the blood (uraemia). This urea is broken down to ammonia in the saliva causing urine-like bad breath called ammonia breath. It is also usually associated with an unpleasant metallic taste (dysgeusia) in the mouth.

♥ Nausea and vomiting ♥ : The build-up of waste products in your blood in kidney disease can also cause nausea and vomiting.

♥ Shortness of breath ♥ : Kidney disease causes fluid to build up in the lungs. And also, anaemia, a common side-effect of kidney disease, starves your body of oxygen. You may have trouble catching your breath due to these factors.

♥ Pain in the back or sides ♥ : Some cases of kidney disease may cause pain. You may feel a severe cramping pain that spreads from the lower back into the groin if there is a kidney stone in the ureter. Pain may also be related to polycystic kidney disease, an inherited kidney disorder, which causes many fluid-filled cysts in the kidneys. Interstitial cystitis, a chronic inflammation of the bladder wall, causes chronic pain and discomfort.

It is important to identify kidney disease early because in most cases the damage in the kidneys can’t be undone. To reduce your chances of getting severe kidney problems, see your doctor when you observe one or more of the above symptoms. If caught early, kidney disease can be treated very effectively.

பணத்தின் பயன்பாடு, அதன் தேவை, அதன் அருமை போன்றவைகளை குழந்தைகளுக்கு கற்றுக் கொடுக்க வேண்டியது அவசியம் என்கின்றனர் நிபுணர்கள். கல்வி என்பது பல வழிகளிலும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு கிடைக்க வேண்டும். அந்த கல்வி கிடைக்க காரணமாக அமையும் பணத்தைப் பற்றியும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு புரிய வைக்க வேண்டும் என்பதும் அவர்களின் அறிவுரையாகும்.

Improve Your Eyesight and Get Sharp Eagle Eyes With This Unique Protectant


Remember the old cartoon character Popeye? Every time he needed some added strength he’d pop open a can of spinach.
But strength isn’t the only thing he got from spinach. It probably powered up his vision and kept it crystal clear well into his old age.

When your macula becomes damaged, it can be difficult to work or read in dim-light conditions. Words become blurred and your central vision may become fuzzy or hazy, even when you’re looking at something right in front of you.
But when the macular pigment remains dense, it can help keep your vision sharp and eagle-eyed as you age.1 It’s the difference between being independent – able to read, drive and work as long as you want – or counting on others to “be your eyes.”
You see, the macula protects your central sight from damaging blue light from the sun’s rays. It’s almost like having a pair of “internal sunglasses.”
Researchers believe that lutein and zeaxanthin help the macula absorb those harmful light rays. They also act as powerful antioxidants to protect your eyes from free radical damage and keep your eyesight clear and focused.2
The good new is that when you take steps to maintain macular density you can help maintain your youthful eyes and improve eyesight longer. And getting plenty of lutein and zeaxanthin is your first line of defense.
Along with spinach, there are many other foods that can help you get your fill of these sight-saving nutrients3
    •Corn, which contains high quantities of lutein
    •Orange peppers have a very large concentrations of zeaxanthin
    •Egg yolks have substantial levels of both lutein and zeaxanthin
    •Kiwi fruit, grapes, zucchini, squash and green leafy vegetables all provide both nutrients
Another way to promote healthy macular pigment is by getting plenty of omega-3 fatty acids in your diet.
The National Eye Institute sponsored a 12-year study on eye health. It’s called the Research from the Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS). It showed that people who ate the most omega-3 fatty acids were 30% less likely to experience age-related macula issues.4 And the study authors suggest the results “may guide the development of low-cost and easily implemented preventive interventions.”
The primary fat found in the retina is an omega-3 fatty acid called docosahexaenoic acid (DHA.) It’s believed a constant supply of DHA may be necessary to keep your eyes working properly. Researchers say even a minor reduction in DHA could affect retinal function and the health of your macula.5
But you need to be careful about your source of these essential fatty acids. Plant-based omega-3 foods like flaxseed and walnuts don’t have DHA in them. It can only be found in seafood and quality fish oil capsules. Fish like tuna, mackerel, trout and salmon are all rich in DHA.
I also have more good news about omega-3′s. Especially if you’re plagued with dry, itchy and scratchy eyes. Turns out these healthy oils may offer lubrication to help reduce your symptoms.
This is important, because dry eyes can cause problems. If you have dry eyes, it can impair your vision. And irregularities in the ocular surface could affect your daily activities.6 So you want to keep your eyes as healthy and free from abnormalities as possible.improve eyesight
That’s why it was great news when a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that the more omega-3 fatty acids women ate, the less likely they were to suffer from dry eyes.7
However, adding lutein, zeaxanthin and omega-3 fatty acids are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to your eye health. Other nutrients can also play a very important role…
    •Vitamin C for clearer vision. As you age, opacities may form over the lens of the eye. When this happens, it can cloud your vision. Women from the Nurses’ Health Study who supplemented with vitamin C for 10 years or more had a 77% lower prevalence of developing early lens opacities.8
    •Support ocular blood flow with ginkgo biloba. When blood flow in the eye is blocked, blood and ocular fluid build up and place pressure on the optic nerve. Eventually, the nerve can be damaged. In a small U.S. study, patients given ginkgo biloba showed significantly increased blood flow in the ophthalmic artery.9
    •Bilberry may promote better night vision. It’s reported that during World War II, the British Royal Air Force used bilberry to increase their pilot’s night vision. While not all studies support this assertion, there is some evidence that bilberry can support normal nocturnal vision when taken daily.10

The study results, published in the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons, showed that the patients who had music therapy during their operations reported 29% lower anxiety levels and had a lower average breathing rate.
These results are impressive because of the destructive effects that anxiety can have on health outcomes. Anxiety before, during, or after an operation can trigger stress hormones that lead to inflammatory responses. Inflammation can slow down or even prevent healing. That can lead to longer hospital stays and increased use of anti-inflammatory drugs.
The landmark study was the first to prove the benefits of music therapy on planned and emergency operations.

In yet another remarkable study, music therapy actually reduced rejection of heart transplants in mice by influencing the immune system. Monsanto engineered their fake fish oil — called Soymega or “steariodonic acid soybean oil (SDA oil) — by injecting two enzymes into soybean genes. The FDA approved Monsanto’s petition, and it seems likely they will grant full approval sometime this year.
According to ScienceNews:
Two years ago, Monsanto petitioned the Food and Drug Administration to have their SDA-enriched soy oil granted the GRAS status — or generally recognized as safe. That petition noted the company’s intent “to market SDA soybean oil as a food ingredient in the United States in a variety of food products including:
    • Baked goods and baking mixes
    • Breakfast cereals and grains, cheeses
    • Dairy product analogs
    • Fats and oils
    Fish products
    • Frozen dairy desserts and mixes
    • Grain products and pastas
    • Gravies and sauces
    • Meat products
    • Milk products
    • Nuts and nut products
    • Poultry products
    • Processed fruit juices
    • Processed vegetable products
    • Puddings and fillings
    • Snack foods
    • Soft candy
    • Soups and soup mixes
That means fake fish oil posing by the name Soymega may soon be added to essentially every processed food in existence. According to Monsanto, it delivers health benefits comparable to those garnered from natural sources of omega-3s. Given Monsanto’s bad reputation of being the most devilish, over-sized, greedy, and disproportionately powerful corporation in the world, their claim is dubious at best. (Note: Google’s first suggested search term when one types the word Monsanto is “Monsanto evil”).
Right now, the number one source of omega-3s for most Americans is fish, a food source that’s becoming scarce, and one that’s also becoming increasingly likely to contain toxins or to be irradiated.
However, other organic sources of omega-3s other than fish are:
    • Nuts (such as almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts)
    • Whole grains
    • Flax seed
    • Fresh fruits and vegetables
    • Olive oil
    • Garlic
So, what sounds like a better way to improve your health: eating processed foods with a genetically manufactured SDA oil additive … or eating handful or two of nuts?
