Whether Amavasya is auspicious?
Many believe that a day with Amavasya is highly auspicious and the functions can be held on those days. But as per the Vedic Principles, the days that comes with both Amavasya and Pournami are not auspicious; hence conducting functions on Amavasya and Pournami must be avoided.
